I got my final paycheck from WorleyParsons today. Of course, the raise they promised three months ago still wasn’t on it. It really didn’t surprise me, since their organization is just so screwed up right now. Sadly, I was holding on to a small sliver of hope that it would be there. It just proves to me that I made the right decision to get a new job, so they can go f*@& themselves

I really like my new job, even though I haven’t even been there a week yet. But I know it’s going to work out since I was able to make a hockey connection. There are three graduates from Canada that just started here, so now I have people to talk hockey with…which makes me ecstatic! I was telling them that the Houston Aeros home opener next season was October 7th, and that is one of the guy’s birthdays, so I’m sure he won’t forget about it.
The company had a project kick-off party last night at Clay’s Restaurant, which included a mini World Cup tournament. I was on the team for the Netherlands, and we lost in the first round. What really sucked is that I was playing goalie. So, when the ball went in the net, I was expecting to hear the “Hey Goalie, You Suck” chant that we say at hockey games. Thank goodness that didn’t happen!

I’ve decided to accept a job offer from J P Kenny and start this Monday.
I’m really excited about the opportunity. I’ll be moving into Document Control, which will be a wonderful learning experience. It’s just a bonus that I’ll be making more money.

I called the project manager this morning to let him know my raise was not on my paycheck. He sounded surprised, and was going to email someone to find out something, and then get back to me. I have no idea when that will be, so I’m just waiting.

I need to open up a can of Whoop Ass on somebody, I just don’t know who yet.
I was told that my pay raise would take effect on May 12th. This is after waiting two months to get the darn thing. I got paid today, which covered the dates of May 13th thru May 26th. My raise was not on my paycheck.
I not just mad, I’m very pissed off. I’ll keep you posted on the saga as soon as I get some answers myself.
