    Overview

Things have just been crazy at work, which is the main reason why I haven’t blogged in a while. We’re getting ready to mobilize to the field, so I suspect it’s going to remain crazy for a while. The target date to move from the Deer Park office the project worksite in Baytown is April 3rd. I

Here’s a brief overview of what else has been going on in my life:

The sheetrock project was a success! I was surprised by how good it came out, so I’m happy with it.

Last weekend, I drove up to San Antonio to meet my sister at the SA Rampage hockey game. They were playing the Iowa Stars, so we got to see their goalie, Mike “Rock Star” Smith play. That was the whole point of the trip and it was totally worth it.

I finally got a cell phone. There were some issues with the delivery. Instead of going into all the details, I’ll just say that UPS is not my friend right now. Since I just got it yesterday evening, I haven’t had time to set it up yet. Hopefully, I’ll be able to do that this weekend.

That’s it for now. I have to actually get back to doing some work :-)

    Sheetrock Project

Last night, I accidentally ripped the toilet paper holder out of the wall in my bathroom. I don’t know how I manage to do such crazy things, but I do. I was trying to pop my back, so I was twisting around and put one of my hands on the toilet paper holder to brace myself. Next thing I knew, the holder was in my hand and there was a huge hole in the wall. It’s not just a small holder; it’s one of those porcelain/ceramic ones that’s built into the wall. Since it was late, I didn’t want to worry about fixing it. So I did the next best thing...I used duct tape and put it back up. As we all know, duct tape can fix anything!

I guess I created a project for myself this weekend...learn how to repair sheetrock.
