Just to let you know that I did get my new showerhead installed and I love it! And for you perverts out there who are curious…no, it does not detach, and no, it does not vibrate. It’s just an awesome showerhead.

I survived the interview with BP today. It was like a marathon. I had to meet with four different groups for 50 minutes each. Fortunately, I was able to get done early and get on the road before rush hour traffic. BP said that they hope to have a decision by the end of the week.
Some more good news…I did get a formal offer from Ryan and Company. Woo hoo!

Yesterday, I decide I was going to try to fix my bathroom’s showerhead myself. It was stuck aiming at the side of the tub instead of the center. So, I soak the showerhead in CLR thinking maybe that would help loosen it up so I could redirect it. I even took off part of the shower head and also soaked it.
I put everything back together and still wasn’t able to move it. I said to hell with it and decided just to take a shower anyway (instead of a bath). As soon as I turned the water on, the part of the showerhead that I had taken off earlier flew off and hit me right in the forehead. I wasn’t even in the shower yet, just standing next to it. After the showerhead bounced off my forehead, and fell into the vanity area. Water was still going every where. I finally got the water turned off and just took a regular bath.
Today, I called the apartment management office and put in a maintenance request to have my showerhead fixed by someone more qualified than myself.

I survived my job interview today. I think it went pretty well. I don’t know how many people they were interview for the position, but I was told to contact their HR department next week to follow-up. I interviewed for the team admin for the Severance Tax department. They seem to be a very relaxed, laid-back group. Best of all….it’s only 6-8 people. That’s far from the 150 people I had to support while working at Schlumberger! If I do get hired, I will have to go to Dallas to attend some training classes.
Speaking of Schlumberger, I contacted my attorney today to find out what was going on with my expense check. The letter from my attorney was sent to them back on September 27th. Of course, I also got a copy of the letter. In my opinion, I found the letter to be pretty lame. The attorney told me that sometime these things take a while. It’s possible the person who the letter was addressed to may have forwarded it to the legal department for review; so that would add some extra time. I just want my money, dammit!
My sleeping habits are completely out of whack. I’ve got so many issues on my mind. When I try to go to sleep, these things will just keep running through my head. It’s not like I can do anything about them at 3 o’clock in the morning, but I still can’t sleep. It just sucks.
I want to thank all my friends who continue to give me words of encouragement during this time. I really appreciate it!

Here is a picture of Hunter. He is the son of my friend Jackie. It seems that he's going to be a cowboy this Halloween. I did tell Jackie that she should consider having him dress up as a hockey player next year.

I had a small tear in my bed’s skirt. Therefore, I decided to fix it. As I was pulling the needle through, I managed to poke my cheek with the needle. I go to the bathroom and see that I managed to poke it good enough that it was bleeding. I don’t know how I managed to do it…I’m just talented.

I have been so sick over the past couple of days. This evening is the first time I felt good enough to stay out of bed for more than a few hours.
Even though I was sick, I still forced myself to make it the Aeros’ home opener last night. It did not start too good….I realized that my favorite Aero, Erik Reitz, was a scratch for that night. That just sucked. I have also have to get used to the new game announcer, as well as all the new players. It will take some time, but hopefully I’ll have it down by next year. However, the Aeros won, so all is well in the world.
Congratulations to fellow Aeros-fanatic, Stephanie. After a year and a half of searching for a new job, she found one. I’m so happy for her. Congrats, Steph!
As for me, I did get a follow-up interview with Ryan & Company, the business I had the telephone interview with last week. My interview is set for Wednesday, at 10:00am.
If you have not discovered the television show Boston Legal, I highly recommend it. It’s on ABC on Sunday nights at 9:00pm. William Shatner and James Spader are just amazing in it. It’s not just another lawyer/courtroom show. It also has just the right touch of humor, which is what makes it so good.

I believe my telephone interview was a success! The recruiter is going to contact the manager at the Houston office to find out her schedule and will be calling me back early next week to set up an interview with her. I’m so excited! Finally…a chance to wear the new interview suit I bought almost two months ago!

Well, my computer has been fixed! More importantly, I was able to do it on my own and did not have to take it to a repair shop and pay for it.
Also, I have a telephone interview today at 2:00pm for a job with Ryan & Company. My first interview! It’s a telephone interview since the HR office is located at its Dallas office. Hopefully, the telephone interview will go well and I’ll get to go on an interview in the Houston office.

My computer crashed on Friday night. I was able to load the operating system again to at least get back on-line over the weekend. So, my poor little laptop now has three OSs on it. So, I’ll probably have to take my computer somewhere tomorrow to see if it can get fixed. Who knows how long it will take. I just wanted to let you know in case I don’t get a chance to blog for a few days.

I got to talk to my friend Matt today. I haven’t spoken to him in so long. It was great. They’re keeping him busy at work. He also has an awesome motorcycle. You can see pictures of it here.
I was watching CSI New York last night when I realized the one of the cast members, Eddie Cahill, was in the movie Miracle. He played to goalie. I thought that was neat.

How about this! Here's my quickie horoscope for today:

I’ve been on EMS duty from the past two nights. We got a call first thing this evening in when the storm was moving through. I got completely drenched. After the call, I was fortunate enough to have time to come home and change into dry clothes. I didn’t want to get sick again after fighting that darn stomach virus over the weekend.
Christine took the flyers for the football necklaces to the football game the past Saturday. Not only did a lot of people from the Alvin Raiders order some jewelry, but people from the visiting team (Pearland Hurricanes) also ordered some. So, I had to go hunt for beads in that team’s colors today.
On Sunday, Christine decided for me that I needed to set up a booth at a local fundraiser event on October 30th to sell my jewelry. I have now dubbed her my unofficial marketing director.
I really don’t feel that confident in my jewelry-making ability yet to consider selling them, but people seem to want it. I must give the people what they want, right?
