February 19, 2006Radio AdThere is this annoying commercial that I keep hearing on the radio. It starts off like it's some big announcement. Then, right before it gets to the "good part", you're asked to deposit 25 cents to hear the rest of it. Then, a voice comes on and says, "Radio…you shouldn't have to pay for it." I understand what they are trying to do, but you pay for radio no matter what. It's the listener's decision whether or not he/she wants to pay for it by listening to annoying commercials, or pay a fee to have commercial-free radio. In my opinion, the ad is just inane…and it gets on my nerves. Comments
Well, yes. But they have to do something to try to justify their pathetic existence. I will pay for XM to keep commercials out of my car. But don't be fooled. XM has commercials on SOME stations - such as ESPN. Not ESPN Radio, but ESPN (XM channel 123 I think). See, that ESPN station is just the audio from the ESPN cable network, so you hear the commercials. But hey, they got good shit playing all the time.
