Thank you, Andrew!

Yesterday was a twister!

When I returned from lunch, I got out of my car and heard a “hissing sound”. I followed the sound, only to find out that it’s coming from my back tire. Upon closer inspection, I found a piece of metal stuck in my tire and the air was coming out fast.

I don’t really know anyone at NASA that I could ask to change my flat tire. Jackie, the person who got me this job was out of the office for the rest of this week so I couldn’t ask her for help. So, I called Mary Ann, a fellow CLNAC member that also works at NASA. I asked her if she knows anyone that could help me. She told me she would ask around and call me back. Fortunately for me, she called back and said that one of her guys, Andrew, said he would change my tire.

It was very nice of him to drive to my building’s parking lot and change my tire for me. He acted like it wasn’t a big deal, but it was to me. I was so thankful and wanted to let him know how much I appreciated his assistance. So I told him I would hook him up with a pair of hockey tickets next season. At first, he was hesitant, but I convinced him. He has never been to an Aeros game before. I told him I would touch base with him once next season’s schedule was released. Now you know where the title of this blog entry came from.

After work, I went to Space City Tire and Auto to get my tire fixed. The service there was awesome! When they pulled out the object that caused my tire to go flat, the guy came to show it to me. It was a freakin’, long-ass key! After they were done, they brought my car around and I went to go pay. He told me that it there was no charge because they do tire repairs for free! I just thought that was so cool, so I am definitely recommended them for anyone who needs auto service near NASA.
