Jan Jeffcoat of Fox26 is giving Minerva Perez of Channel 13 a run for her money as the worst morning news anchor. This morning, Jan was doing a news story where she had to talk about a guy getting a shot of “Demerol”. Just in case you’re not sure what Demerol is, it is a narcotic analgesic used to treat pain. Basically, it’s a pain-relieving drug. Anyway, she completely screwed up the word. Instead of pronouncing it properly, which is “dem-a-rol”, she says “de-mor-al”, like “demoralize”. Maybe she thought the guy had gotten a shot of discouragement medicine.

Houston television news media is just sad.
