Observation

I just love people-watching. Since I consider myself as the queen of klutz, I think I’m allowed to laugh at crazy things other people do. Heck, it gives me a break from laughing at myself.

An observation I have made several times is how people act at traffic lights that are located at railroad tracks. When the light is red, people will not stop on the railroad tracks. That’s understandable, right? But what gets me is that they will stop where their cars are directly in the path of the crossing bar. Maybe they don’t realize that, generally, the crossing bars come down before the train.

It just amazes me. I know…it doesn’t take much to do that.

You know this is rather strange, as I just watched a cross bar come down and smash the hood of a car this past weekend. No one was hurt; but I had just been sitting at the stop sign thinking, "Why in the world did they pull up so far?!" When CRASH down came the bar and then the man looked shocked ...uh, duh!
